I thought I would compile a list of how long each canon/franchise from each PH is or would take to consume. There are a few requests that I don't know how to judge the length for: RPF requests and video games, where I don't know how to tell if a Let's Play on Youtube covers enough of the canon to be able to do it justice in a fic. Also, Marvel comics.
I also don't know what is considered enough knowledge of something! You probably don't have to have seen all 7 movies from the Alien franchise, but maybe there's some earth-shattering revelation in the 6th movie I have no idea about because I've never seen it. (People whose PHs are on the list are welcome to let me know if, for example, they're requesting characters that only appear in a small section of canon. Comments are screened.)
So, given all those caveats, here's an approximate list.
Men's Hockey RPF - ???
Goon & Goon - 2 x 90 min movie
War and Peace - 1.2k pages
That was Then This is Now - 160 pages
The Outsiders - 190 pages
Guardian RPF - ???
Chinese Actor RPF - ???
Guardian TV - 40 x 45 min episodes
Guardian - priest - roughly 1.2k pages across 3 volumes
Detective L - 24 x 30 min episodes
Revenge - 2 hr movie
Twin Peaks - 30 x (45 to 60) min episodes
Star Trek: TOS (Movies) - 6 x (1.5-2) hr movies
Naniwa Danshi (Band) - ???
Monster High (Cartoon) - 175 x 2 min episodes (and/or watch longer TV specials? not sure)
Marvel (Comics) - ???
Buffy - 144 x 45 min episodes
Supernatural - 327 x 45 min episodes
Alien Series - 7 movies
PHs 16 and 17 are all requests for video games.
